I went to Device Manager and I noticed an error: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. I went to settings of your laptop and ran the recovery, but it did not help. However, I can still use the USB extension cable. If I switch back to the long cable, it will be impossible to find. But when going back to a standard length cable, the printer was correctly as a Canon MX340! With the long USB cable, I get the error. I just noticed this and decided to test it. I forgot that not only I used an extension USB cable, but I was also with a long USB cable and the USB extension as well. I checked to see if this printer is "compatible" with 10 windows, and according to the compatibility of Microsoft website, it says that the Pixma MX340 should compatible.Īdvice, tips or suggestions would be very appreciated. I also tried this printer connected directly to the USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports on my computer without effect before. No change, it still gives the same exact error.
